IKinema launches free trial of WebAnimate Pro

IKinema has updated WebAnimate, its browser-based platform for editing and retargeting mocap data, and launched a free 30-day trial of the Pro version of the service.

The service enables users to import models and mocap data as FBX, BVH and Collada files, retarget the motion between characters, and export the result in FBX or BVH format.

New library interface, drag-and-drop workflow and audio support
New features in the latest update include a new library interface and a drag-and-drop workflow for retargeting animation data or rigging models.

The editing tools from the previous update have been expanded, and now support integrated audio – to the point that you may need to turn the volume down when playing the demo video above.

Pricing and availability
WebAnimate is available now as a browser-based service. A free account gives you up to 10 FBX or BVH exports per week; a Pro account costs $19.99 per month and gives you unlimited exports plus advanced features.

Pro-only tools include IKinema’s Automatic Cleaning Pipeline for automatic foot correction and animation filtering, auto-rigging tools, and the option to export real-time rigs to Unreal Engine 4.
