The many destruction types available in RayFire. Version 1.58 adds support for Bullet physics.
Developer Mir Vadim has released an update to the RayFire destruction toolset for 3ds Max, adding support for Bullet physics – albeit in beta form.
RayFire 1.58 includes a beta of the new Entropy Bullet plugin, and also updates support for the alternative Nvidia PhysX plugin to version 2.85.
Version 1.58 also includes quite a few other new features, as indicated by this thread on CGTalk, including new clustering options for fragments and tessellation options for Voronoi fragments, and ‘Dead Objects’, which enable users to simulate a surface being fractured by an object pushing up from below.
The update is free to users of RayFire 1.51, 1.55 and 1.57, and is compatible with 3ds Max 2009 to 2013.
