Escape Motions releases Flame Painter 1.5

Developer Peter Blaškovi? has just released an update to his interesting painting tool, Flame Painter.

Flame Painter 1.5, now available for Windows and Mac from Blaškovi?’s Escape Motions website, enables users to create artwork with flame brushes.

The update introduces support for layers and the option to load or save brush presets.

As well as being a neat creativity toy, Flame Painter enables users to create artwork that resembles traditional ink-and-wash drawings, several good examples of which can be seen in the online gallery.

You can try the software for yourself online, which limits the resolution of saved images to 1,680 x 1,050.

However, since the offline version only costs $14.99, it’s not hard to get up to the full 8,000 x 8,000 pixels.

Blaškovi? also has a sister app in development, the self-explanatory Fluid Painter.
