cebas ships psd-manager 3.0 for 3ds Max

psd-manager 3.0’s new MatteShooter matte-extraction system in action.

cebas has released an update to psd-manager, its PSD exporter for 3ds Max, that promises to eliminate the tedious task of having to assign IDs to objects.

According to the product documentation, psd-manager 3.0 can generate masks without IDs via a combination of its new MatteShooter matte-extraction technology and the option to export scene layers as PSD layers.

The system is complemented by a new Render Cut-Outs export mode that “cuts a rendered image into pieces by object, object ID, material ID or by 3ds Max layer”.

Other new features in the release include support for 32-bit (HDR) files, render presets for V-Ray and finalRender and support for 3ds Max 2012.

psd-manager 3.0 is available now, price $189.
