Basefount releases 52 video tutorials for Miarmy

Creating an AI agent in Miarmy. A further 51 tutorial videos for the software are now available!

Two weeks ago, we reported on Miarmy, a new AI-driven crowd simulation system for Maya being developed by Hong Kong developer Basefount.

At the time, we didn’t have much to go on, other than that the Express edition of the software was free and that the demo video looked intriguing.

However, Basefount has now released 52 tutorial videos showing off the software, from installation through placement and direction of the AI agents to rendering.

The current beta version of the Miarmy plug-in suite also comes with 76 demo scenes to pull apart.

Pretty good going for two weeks work, we reckon. According to Basefount, further video tutorials will follow shortly, along with a full software manual.

A commercial release of Miarmy is expected in two to three weeks. Definitely one to watch.
