3D-Coat 3.7 ships

Instancing in 3D-Coat. Features in the latest release include the Instancer tool and improved Booleans.

Pilgway has released 3D-Coat 3.7, once again proving it can pack more into a point update of the sculpting and retopology tool than many apps manage in a full release.

Key features of 3D-Coat 3.7 include a set of AppLink connection plug-ins to transfer content to and from other 3D packages. All of the standard ones are supported (and for once, we do mean all) and it’s nice to see the likes of messiahStudio and Cheetah 3D in there. Oddly, there’s only support for Fusion rather than Nuke, though.

Other new features include a new Instancer tool and a CutOff tool for precise Boolean operations. There is also a hefty list of tweaks and updates to the Voxel, Point and UV tools, which you can find via the link below.

3D-Coat 3.7 is available now, price $349 for a node-locked licence. The update is free to registered 3.x users.
