Gnomon is hosting two free masterclasses on the use of Unreal Engine for visual effects work at the school’s Hollywood campus on Saturday 20 January 2018.

The sessions, which comprise six hours of training, will also be broadcast worldwide on Livestream. You can watch them via the player embedded above.

Get a complete overview of the use of Unreal Engine for VFX work
Hosted by Epic Games support manager Martin Sevigny and technical artist Homam Bahnassi, the two sessions cover the process of building pipelines for Unreal Engine and rendering in UE4.

Topics covered include how to manage meshes and materials, best practices for real-time rendering, and techniques for optimising the performance of Unreal Engine projects on the CPU and GPU.

The live event also includes free brunch, mid-afternoon buffet, and closing drinks, plus chances to network with the speakers and other attendees during breaks.

Free to attend, but register online in advance
Unreal Engine for VFX: Building & Optimizing Worlds for Real-Time takes place at Gnomon from 11am to 8pm on Saturday 20 January 2018. Entry is free, but you’ll need to register online in advance.
