Imagineer Systems releases mocha Pro 5.2

Imagineer Systems has released mocha Pro 5.2, the latest version of its planar tracking software, adding support for floating licences and introducing a new $99 render licence.

New floating and render licence types for larger studios
The floating licences make it possible to run both the standalone and new plugin versions of the software – the video above shows the Nuke plugin – off a single floating license server.

In addition, the new render licences significantly reduce the cost of running mocha Pro across a render farm, since doing so no longer requires you to buy extra full-priced workstation licences.

Improved GPU tracking and After Effects plugin
There are also a few new features in the software itself, including support for 16-bit and 32-bit source images in the new GPU tracker introduced in mocha Pro 5.0.

The After Effects plugin also gets an update, making it possible to apply the tracking data it generates to the other layers of a comp via the plugin’s UI, rather than by exporting to the clipboard.

Pricing and availability
Mocha Pro 5.2 is available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. The update is free for users of 5.0.

Pricing for node-locked licences remains unchanged at $1,495 for the standalone edition, or $695 for the After Effects, Premiere Pro, Nuke, Fusion Studio and Media Composer plugins.

The new floating licences cost $995 for Adobe, Avid or OFX plugins alone; $1,295 for a multi-host plugin licence; or $1,695 for a standalone edition and multi-host plugin licence. The new render licences cost $99.

Both floating and render licences are restricted to users with at least five licences in total.
