Download three free high-res HDRI Skies sky maps

Resource site HDRI Skies has made three of its new ultra-high-resolution spherical HDR sky maps available free, exclusively for CG Channel readers.

The HDRIs, which show skies at dawn, midday and sunset, are provided in HDR format at both 16,000 x 8,000px resolution and at 4,000 x 2,000px resolution. All of the images are licensed for commercial use.

Founded by photographer Agata Galewska, who also runs online texture library Texturify, HDRI Skies provides over 250 panoramic images of skies, including a range of weather conditions and times of day.

The images are typically shot at up to 16 Exposure Values (EVs).

Registering with the site is free, and entitles you to download any of the the images at 4K width, while the full-res versions (typically 13K or 15K files) cost €5-10 (around $5.50-11.00) each.

HDRI Skies also offers commercial collections of 20 HDRIs, priced at €100-120 ($110-130).
