Survios is one of the leading lights in the new field of virtual reality gaming, with its VR shooter Raw Data picking up two nominations at last year’s Proto Awards, alongside Crytek, Epic Games and Owlchemy Labs.

Four of the studio’s key staff will be speaking at Gnomon: lead artist Justin Coury, senior animator John Kim, senior VFX artist James Littlejohn, and senior environment artist Kevin Wilson.

Each will be discussing their own transition from conventional VFX and game development work to VR, and how the fields differ: both technically, and in terms of career opportunities.

The session will also discuss current industry standards for VR games, and how to develop ideas for a successful title. There will also be a 30-minute audience Q&A session.
