Get A&G Tool Company’s free V-Ray clay template
Plugin developer A&G Tool Company has released a free 3ds Max template that turns any model into a clay-shaded V-Ray turntable animation for client presentations and demo reels.
Described by the firm as “more than just a simple AO over-ride”, the template includes the shader, a directional light already set up, and is set to render at 1,280 × 720 resolution.
Since it is a template, you will need to be running 3ds Max 2015 Extension 2 and above to use it, but there are good set-up instructions in the video above and on the A&G Tool Company website. You’ll also need V-Ray 3.0.
