Weta Digital senior environment artist Jens Kafitz has posted Ideascale Nodepack 1.5, an update of the handy free extension pack for Mari, compatible with version 2.5 and above of the software.
The pack collects key existing open-source tools, shaders and procedurals for Mari, with contributors including noise library creator Miguel Angel Santiago and nb_MariTools developer Nicholas Breslow.
Features include seven new adjustment layers, the option to select colour ranges in a similar way to Photoshop, improved directional masking and a lot of nice pattern-generation options.
Kafitz also notes that the update fixes many of the “Mac issues that plagued the pack in the past”.
