Eye candy: SpyFox

Ringling College of Art and Design reliably produces some of the world’s funniest student shorts: a winning streak
recently extended by SpyFox.

A parody of the kind of 1960s British spy series it has been impossible to take seriously since Austin Powers, Yoav Shtibelman, Taylor Clutter and Kendra Phillips’ four-minute animation shows the eponymous secret agent foil the plans of the evil Dr. Hammer, get the girl (or does she get him?) and look impeccably suave while doing so.

The plot isn’t terribly original, but the character design is lovely, and an above-average hit rate with the sight gags keeps things rattling along smartly.

Plus, there’s just something about a sardine in a spacesuit that makes Dr. Hammer’s henchdudes the most adorable minions this side of Despicable Me.
