Michael Gibson has released the Mac version of MoI, his intuitive NURBS modelling software, in open beta.

MoI (Moment of Inspiration) – rather nicely described by one user as a ‘Zen NURBS modeler’ – provides a straightforward interface that belies its powerful NURBS and Boolean modelling tools.

The current Mac beta is compatible with OSX 10.6 and above, and is described on the download page as being MoI 2.5. Gibson has also previously released a limited Mac beta of the upcoming MoI 3.

Updated 15 June: MoI 2.5 for Mac now has a commercial release. Both OS X and Windows versions cost $295.
