Laurent Renaud has updated Kaboom, his free explosive destruction tool, to work with 3ds Max 2012.
The tool enables artists to create simple animated shattering effects by adjusting four simple parameters: you could think of it as a simplified version of commercial plug-ins like RayFire.
Kaboom now uses Max 2012’s MassFX physics system. Previous versions of the software used Reactor.
