VFX artist Nadav Brill has released a free shader-management tool for Maya.
ShaderMonger creates a customisable preview of a user’s shader collection, including the option to render thumbnail views from common render engines such as mental ray and V-Ray.
The software is capable of extracting multiple shaders from an object in one pass, and enables a user to create project-based libraries or back them up to a central library.
Brill has also launched an online community site where users can upload their shaders, and download or review the other shaders available.
