Autodesk has released a technology preview of new animation features in Maya.
The demo, which is released with a standard ‘we’re working on it, but we can’t tell you when it will appear in a commercial release’ disclaimer, shows a user creating animation in the viewport by moving handles to adjust the shape of an object’s motion trail, and positioning timing ‘beads’ along that curve.
Autodesk is expected to confirm the features of Maya 2012 at GDC early next month.
