Senior art directors from Method Studios will be revealing the concept art workflow the VFX house uses on movies like Doctor Strange at a free event at Gnomon’s Hollywood campus this Saturday.

The event will also be broadcast worldwide on Gnomon’s Livestream channel: you can watch along via the player embedded above.

An inside look at concept art for visual effects production
In Bringing the Director’s Vision to Life: From Script to Final Concept, Method Studios senior art director Philippe Gaulier and supervising art director Olivier Pron will discuss their concept art workflow.

Over the course of 90 minutes, the duo will share their techniques for creating visuals for films, from initial brainstorm to final concept; and discuss the challenges artists face during pre-production on movies.

The session will be capped off by a 30-minute audience Q&A.

Bringing the Director’s Vision to Life: From Script to Final Concept takes place at Gnomon’s Hollywood campus from 1-3pm on Saturday 27 May 2017. It’s free to attend, but you’ll need to register online.
