Two generations of award-winning artists – including a well-known name from the CG community – will exhibit together under one roof in the exhibition Muharraqi: Father & Son, held in Bahrain next month.

The show, due to be held at the Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Center for Culture and Research, brings together work from 3D artist Khalid Al Muharraqi and his father, surrealist painter Abdullah Al Muharraqi.

Khalid Al Muharraqi, whose images will be familiar to many readers from the Exposé and Digital Art Masters books, worked on visualisations for Bahrain’s 2030 Master Plan and Qatar’s 2022 World Cup stadium.

A pioneer of contemporary art in the Gulf States, Abdullah Al Muharraqi has also worked on projects including postage stamps and political cartoons in Bahraini national newspaper Akhbar al Khaleej.
