E-on software has released Vue 11.5 PLE, the free non-commercial edition of its environment-generation software.
What’s new in 11.5?
The 11.5 update adds a fair number of new features, including the option for EcoParticles to interact with EcoSystem instances (shown above), and the option to use render nodes to calculate only the GI pre-pass.
Materials and camera management have also been improved, as have the render stack and the world browser, and a new Color Channel Editor has been added. You can read more in our original story on Vue 11.5.
Restrictions in the PLE edition
The PLE provides access to the entire feature set of Vue 11.5 Infinite or xStream, with no restrictions on render size or the length of animations that can be created.
However, renders are watermarked, network rendering is disabled, and files are saved in a format that cannot be shared with other users, or opened in commercial versions of Vue.
The Vue 11.5 Personal Learning Edition is available now
in English for Windows XP and above, and on Mac OS X 10.5 and above (Mac Intel only) for both 32 and 64-bit operating systems.
