Autodesk to unveil 2014 product line on 27 March

Autodesk is to unveil its 2014 Media & Entertainment product line, including the new versions of 3ds Max, Maya, Softimage, MotionBuilder and Mudbox, on 27 March.

Montreal residents can attend the live Unfold event, which takes place from 5pm at Autodesk’s offices on Duke Street; those elsewhere in the world can watch proceedings online.

As well a brief set of demos (the workflow demonstrations are only scheduled to last 50 minutes in total), Unfold features a panel entitled ‘The Evolution of the 3D industry: Who will survive?’, billed as a “provocative debate”.

Submit your questions in advance
If you want more detail about an individual package, Autodesk will be running Q&A sessions with the product managers via the Unfold website.

Mudbox, MotionBuilder and Softimage are covered on 26 March; 3ds Max and Maya on 27 March.

Although the sessions will be live, you have to register and submit questions in advance – and with only one hour per application, we imagine they will be heavily oversubscribed. Get your queries in early.
