Former Microsoft Games Studio Technical Art Director Kenny Lammers discusses Substance Designer.
Allegorithmic has celebrated the release of Substance Designer 2.1 with a revamp of its product website.
Substance Designer enables users to author lightweight, fully parametric multi-resolution textures natively compatible with 3ds Max, Maya and Unity.
According to Allegorithmic: “New features of version 2.1 include a complete redesign of the layer stack, now adding effects, drag-and-drop and mask preview. The SVG Paint tool also has been improved and a couple of handy modifications have been made with ease of use and productivity in mind.”
The new homepage features a user video from former Microsoft Games Studio Technical Art Director Kenny Lammers, and a 50% discount code for anyone buying the software before 31 January.
Substance Designer 2.1 is available for Windows and Mac OS X, price $990.
