See sessions from Autodesk University and 3December

Autodesk has called for users to sign up for its annual 3December shindig – actually held from 5-8 December this year, owing to the rather unfortunate timing of the weekend.

Live events are thin on the ground this time round (Montreal, Toronto and Tokyo, and that’s your lot), although if you’re in the US (or, er… Guatemala) you may be able to find a semi-official user group event near you.

However, the main Montreal event, which takes place on Friday 8 December from 6-8pm EST, will be viewable live on Autodesk’s AREA community website.

The line-up includes presentations on Modus FX‘s VFX work on Source Code, Motor VFX‘s commercials work and game marketing art for Mortal Kombat and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

No advance registration is required for the online version.

More from Autodesk University
Autodesk has also made nearly 100 of the sessions from this week’s Autodesk University 2011 conference available for free online.

The vast majority are for the CAD and engineering tools, but if you scroll through the list, you can find sessions on using 3ds Max 2012’s new Composite toolset, particle-based water simulation and architectural rendering.
