Big Lazy Robot really does love robots. The Spanish VFX studio’s portfolio features robots created for Audi, robots created for AMD, and robots created for Japanese film studios. Oh, and a couple of Transformers ads.
But for its latest project, Big Lazy Robot is creating robots just for the hell of it.
The studio’s latest short, Keloid – a ‘promo clip’ for an as-yet unrealised movie – plays with the idea of machines superseding humans, set against the backdrop of a grimy, retrofuturistic Russia.
Expect lots of dingy, claustrophobic interiors and cavernous industrial spaces. And robots. Lots of robots.
