Eye candy: For The King
It’s not easy being a coachman. Especially if, like the hero of For The King, your boss can’t afford a horse.
Created by Amund Lundvall, Tarje Pladsen, Håvard Munkejord and Jørn-Harald Paulsen, all recent graduates of the 3D Animation course at Norway’s Idefagskolen, this lively four-minute animation tells the tale of a servant with serious job-description problems.
As well as its quirky premise, the short boasts an engaging central character, a bright, punchy visual style and some nice comic moments. Expect to smile at least once.
