Get Kromath: new portable chromakeying iPhone app

Developer Hassan Uriostegui has developed a portable chromakeying app for iPhone and iPad.

Kromath, which is currently awaiting ratification in the Apple App Store, enables users to pick key colours and create simple garbage mattes to create basic precomps from live video, at a frame rate of 20fps.

The app looks most likely to find a niche for on-set previews on indie projects.

According to Uriostegui, Kromath is “based in the same foundation of 3D color space as Primatte and some other high-end keyers do”.

Kromath is expected to be commercially available at the end of the month. Pricing details when we have them.
