Lagoa Multiphysics 1.0 – Teaser

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010 | Posted by Leonard Teo

XSI/Softimage wizard Thiago Costa just posted a teaser of Lagoa Multiphysics 1.0, which I assume is some sort of collection of ICE compounds for Softimage that give you a range of physics solvers. The results look pretty amazing and we can’t wait to hear more about it.

No I don’t think so. It appears to be a set of tools made with Autodesk Softimage using ICE. So if it’s ever publicly released, it would probably need to run within Softimage.

That’s really amazing but totally useless for production since it’s for the Windows platform

@James… Wow you really didn’t get it. It’s already being used in production… the guy who developed it works for Ubisoft Digital Arts/Hybride and the tools he created are for production. Many production studios still use WIndows as a workstation platform as well. Also, it’s not made *for* Windows. It just happens that Softimage runs on Windows (and Linux, though the experience is not as great). It runs within Softimage.
