3Dconnexion announces SpaceMouse Pro Wireless


The SpaceMouse Pro. 3Dconnexion is shipping a new wireless version of the 3D control device next month.

3Dconnexion has announced a new wireless version of its SpaceMouse Pro controller. Due out next month, the SpaceMouse Pro Wireless comes with a twin-port USB hub and features a two-month battery lifespan.

Six-degrees-of-freedom control for standard 3D software
Like its wired equivalent, the new controller features 3Dconnexion’s 6DoF control system for panning, zooming and rotating models and camera views, and comes with 15 programmable buttons.

The controllers support a range of standard DCC tools, including most of the Autodesk M&E applications, 3D-Coat, Blender, Cinema 4D and Vue, plus 2D packages like Photoshop; and work on Windows, Linux and Mac.

The new version uses a 2.4GHz wireless system to connect to a receiver plugged into a standard USB port in your workstation, with the bundled hub ensuring that you shouldn’t have to unplug anything else.

Pricing and availability
The SpaceMouse Pro Wireless will be available in early July, price $339.
