Sneak peek: magnetic modelling in 3ds Max 2015

Wednesday, March 5th, 2014 | Posted by Jim Thacker

Following last week’s YouTube leaks, Autodesk has released its first official sneak peek video for 3ds Max 2015.

It’s brief (and speeded up), but you do get a glimpse of a new workflow enabling users to position objects intelligently over a mesh surface as if magnetised to it, used to create details on the character’s armour.

Autodesk’s 2015 product releases, including 3ds Max 2015, are expected to ship on 14 April.

The comments on the youtube vid are filled with wannabe 3d artists from dodo land. They clearly did not get what the video was all about. Next news, Foundry raises price on modo for an almost complete app.
