Eye candy: Blur Studio’s epic Resident Evil cinematic

Discussion point: is Blur Studio or Digic Pictures the studio responsible for today’s most consistently jaw-dropping cinematics?

No, we don’t know the answer either, but Blur – fresh from its work on the fetish-y title sequence for The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo – has just advanced its case with a suitably epic teaser for Capcom’s upcoming survival horror title Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.

As ever, the plot makes no sense at all (if you’re interested, you can find some sort of synopsis here), so you’re essentially in for nigh-on six minutes of continuous gunplay in a blue-lit urban nightmare.

But the pace never relents, and everything looks very nice in a suitably ‘THE GRAPHICS! OMGGGGG!’ kind of way, and is altogether unlikely to hurt either Blur or Capcom’s prospects.

Can’t wait to see what Digic comes back with.

Minor spoiler: but what on earth are they using for grenades at 05:15? The dude doesn’t even get itty-bitty pieces of brain on his shiny new night-vision goggles.
