Autodesk calls for entries for its 2012 demo reels


Autodesk’s 2011 NAB post and VFX reel. Submit your work now for inclusion in next year’s version.

Autodesk has called for entries for its 2012 ‘Best of the Best’ and Games demo reels.

The reels, which are intended to showcase the best recent work created using the company’s software, will be premiered at NAB and GDC 2012 respectively, and shown on the Autodesk website, YouTube channel and at other events throughout the year.

Film, TV and interactive graphics
The Best of the Best reel, which covers film, TV, ads and music promos and interactive media, is open to work created using Maya, 3ds Max, Softimage, MotionBuilder, Mudbox, Flame Premium, Flame or Smoke.

Autodesk is also seeking high-resolution images for inclusion in its marketing materials leading up to and surrounding NAB. The deadline for still imagery is 9 December 2011, and the deadline for video submissions is 24 February 2012.

Videogame art
The games reel covers cinematics, trailers, in-game sequences and animations created using 3ds Max, Maya, MotionBuilder, Mudbox, Softimage, Beast, HumanIK, Kynapse or Scaleform.

The deadline for video and imagery submissions is 13 January 2012.
