CGschool announces two new free 3ds Max webinars

Arch viz training specialist CGschool has announced two free online webinars. The first covers resource-management in 3ds Max; the second, use of the Onyx vegetation plug-ins. Full details below.

3ds Max System Resources

A frustrating reality of working in any 3D program is waiting on the computer to process information. After you complete this webinar, you will know the answers to these and countless other questions related to system resource management:

  • What happens to the operands of a compound object when the final object is created?
  • What has a greater impact on file size; the total vertex count or polygon count?
  • When should I create copies, instances, XRefs and proxies?
  • Do modifiers increase file size and/or memory consumption? Why or why not?

Learn to manage your file sizes, manage RAM consumption, object optimization, and why you should be using a 64-bit machine.
