Autodesk has announced a free pre-Siggraph event for students and recent graduates.
The Student Experience Event, which takes place at the Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown Hotel on Sunday 7 August, includes technical sessions for 3ds Max, Maya and Softimage, and a chance to meet Autodesk AREA bloggers and the company’s principal scientist, Duncan Brinsmead.
However, we’re betting that for many people, the main attraction will be a 90-minute animation fundamentals class from Pixar animator and Animation Mentor co-founder Carlos Baena.
Admission is on a first-registered-first-served basis, so if you’re in Vancouver that weekend, sign up now.
