A couple of months ago, we ran a story on Agent, Geoff Samuel’s upcoming crowd system for 3ds Max.
Development of the plug-in has now been transferred to Samuel’s company, Black Shack Studios, which has just released the first video of Agent’s AI system in action.
The video shows a simple fuzzy logic AI ‘brain’ being created. It would have been nice to see the results applied to an actual animated figure – the test ‘character’ is a triangular wedge – but Samuel says that more updates should be posted over the coming weeks.
