Side Effects posts making of for new Katy Perry promo

Side Effects has just posted a story on Radium/Reel FX’s work on the video for Katy Perry’s single, Firework. The piece details how the studio used Houdini surface and particle nodes to build a custom firework tool.

    Houdini is capable of so much more than a few dodgy fireworks, why promote this? Is it because Katy Perry is popular or are they genuinely proud of their ‘old skool’ effects?
