Cool new indie short: Salesman Pete

Tuesday, September 28th, 2010 | Posted by Jim Thacker

He’s got a microprocessor in his brain, a sirloin steak for a sidekick, and he invented milk. He’s Salesman Pete, and you can view his extraterrestrial crime-fighting adventures in a rather spiffy new animated short.

Created by Marc Bouyer, Max Loubaresse and Anthony Vivien, the animation blends Scanline-rendered 3ds Max characters with Flash backgrounds in a style that nods to John Kricfalusi, but has a peculiar charm all of its own.

We would try to summarise the plot, but… ah, you’ll just have to see for yourself. Unplug the phone for a few minutes and click the link below.

Great stuff! Should you feel like animating a video clip to one of my solar power songs (www.turtugablanku.com), please let me know.
