Sculpt your own Ant-Man with Gnomon’s ZBrush masterclass

Two leading VFX artists will be sculpting their own takes on Ant-Man and The Wasp at ZBrush Sunday: Creature Design with Eric Keller & Luca Nemolato, a free afternoon event at Gnomon next Sunday, 29 July.

Over the course of three hours, the 10 Cloverfield Land and Guardians of the Galaxy veterans will explore how to sculpt believable insect-humanoid characters, and provide tips for better concept work in ZBrush.

Both demos will be broadcast live on Twitch: you can watch along via the player embedded above.

Learn how to sculpt believable insectoid characters informed by real-world scientific principles
The event will be kicked off by veteran CG artist Eric Keller, whose portfolio ranges from 10 Cloverfield Lane and Star Trek: Beyond to the digital edition of biologist E. O. Wilson’s Life on Earth.

Keller will explore how to sculpt a believable ant-human hybrid, informed by real-world scientific principles.

The afternoon’s second session will be hosted by concept artist Luca Nemolato, a veteran of movies and broadcast series including Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Westworld and American Gods.

Nemolato will be bringing his sci-fi costume design skills to bear to create a humanoid-wasp character.

As well as being showing the creation of both sculpts live from start to finish, the event will feature a range of modelling and concept design tips suitable for ZBrush users of all abilities.
