CGSociety turns ten

Good heavens, is it December 2011 already? CGSociety has just celebrated its tenth year in the CG news business with an article looking back over the highlights of its first decade.

Founded in 2001, the site began as a simple forum for 3D enthusiasts, but quickly expanded, octopus-like, to sink its tentacles into book publishing, portfolios, workshops, jobs, and other world domination enterprises.

As someone whose own working life has been changed immeasurably by CGSociety, I’d like to give a big shout out to Paul, Leo, Leigh, and all the folks at Ballistic Publishing who have made the site what it is today.

Congratulations, guys. Here’s to the next ten years.
