We all hate automated call-answering systems. But rarely are they as life-threateningly frustrating as for Operative 4511, the star of Eleven, Anzovin Studio’s new short.
The snappy little animation, created in the style of a game cutscene, features the space marine trying – and failing – to call for back-up while surrounded by killer robots: a process not helped by the equally robotic voice on the other end of the line.
The look is straightforward, but the timing is impeccable, and the whole is guaranteed to raise a smile.
Anzovin Studio also makes character rigging plug-ins, including The Setup Machine 2 and The Face Machine. Worth a look, if you’re a Maya user. Check them out here.

Really great work. I had heard about the setup machine but I didn’t know that Anzovin was
going to be regularly producing animation.

I know Raf and have always respected his studio for their short films. Any time they have a new one, I’m there to watch it. This one doesn’t disappoint, and I loved the look as much as the character animation. They have really stepped up the look of their renders in the years since their last short film. Awesome on all fronts, everyone!
