Capcom releases puzzling new Devil May Cry trailer

Alright, I have mixed feelings about this. You can speculate it is a prequel focusing on a teenage, black-haired Dante. You can theorize this is a reboot of the series, since the title is simply ‘Devil May Cry’ instead of Devil May Cry 5. You can even believe this isn’t the real Dante at all. For better or for worse, what you cannot say is… this feels like a Devil May Cry game.

Given this is a teaser that has a lot of mystery and explains very little, we will see what is exactly going on here when Capcom releases more information in the future. What do you guys think?

    I didn’t like the new look that Capcom gave to Dante, I understand that maybe they tryed to refresh the appereance of the game, but come on… That character even has the same movements than the older Dante. At least he could have new ways of behavior.

    On the other hand, the game presents excellent CG. I am fan of the DMC saga and I have played all the games of the franchise, so I will be waiting for the release of this new DMC game.

    Ugh, when you have a good thing going keep it going. Make changes where necessary. They brought in Nero for DMC4 and apparently threw him in the garbage to do this? We had a new character to follow and build an interest in and now we get to start all over again with some weird black & silver hair scrawny guy who’s only connection to Dante would be the two guns and claiming he is Dante. If Capcom is having issues I don’t think I’m that hard to get a hold of.

    I can’t say I don’t like it but it’s definitely a different direction. Looking forward to seeing more.
