Interviews like these are my favorite. An honest, crude conversation with an artist who's not afraid of telling things the way they really are. No BS, just the real thing. Marko finds part of his inspiration in booze. He even admits ending up a few times dancing naked on the table after a few strong drinks. He's also known for his speed. If there were such things as a pen speedometer, he'd probably get a few serious tickets along the way. He's able to design up to a dozen new characters a day, and with nothing but a sheet of paper and a pencil… Amazing…

Marko works at Massive Black, based in San Francisco. Created by famed artist Jason Manley, Massive Black is a rag-tag group of very talented artist who set-out to conquer the digital art world. Marko talks about his art, his creative process and what makes him tick.

We hope you enjoy this interview and I wish to remind our readers that CG Channel doesn't endorse the use of alcoholic beverages in the creative process. (This story was sponsored in part by the Johnnie Walker Corporation, makers of fine Whiskey… Just kidding…)

And if anybody at Massive Black reads this, please offer Marko a few free drinks on my behalf...
