New online resource library Texture Box has released over 100 free sets of PBR textures of common architectural materials, including bricks, concrete, plaster, metal, wood and ground materials.

The textures are provided at 4,096 x 4,096px resolution, and include base colour, ambient occlusion, height, metallic, normal, opacity, roughness and specular maps.

The assets were generated in Substance Designer based on photographic source images.

Some textures are available under a CC0 licence; others remain the intellectual property of the original creators. However, according to Texture Box, all are licensed for use in commercial projects.

If you like the textures, you can support the Texture Box team on Patreon.

Updated 2 July 2020: Since our original story, the Texture Box team have added steadily to the library, which now contains over 600 free PBR texture sets.
