Watch a free masterclass on designing futuristic vehicles
Gnomon is hosting a free 150-minute masterclass on designing futuristic vehicles at its Hollywood campus next Thursday, 20 June 2019, presented by 3D concept designer Gurmukh Bhasin.
The event, Designing Futuristic Vehicles: 3D Concepting with Gurmukh Bhasin, will also be broadcast worldwide on Gnomon’s Twitch channel: you can watch it via the player embedded above.
Discover hard surface modelling workflows for 3D concept design
During the session, Bhasin – an architect turned concept designer, whose clients range from Cloud Imperium Games to MIT research scientists – explores hard surface modelling and 3D concept design workflows.
According to Gnomon, Bhasin will cover the entire design process from ideation through 3D modelling to rendering, discussing how each step contributes to the storytelling process.
The session will also reveal how to incorporate real-world construction techniques, manufacturing constraints and material properties to help ground concept designs in reality.
Bhasin’s own design pipeline uses tools including Maya, NURBS modelling tool MoI, KeyShot and Photoshop.

Designing Futuristic Vehicles: 3D Concepting with Gurmukh Bhasin takes place at Gnomon’s Hollywood campus from 7.30-10:00pm PDT on Thursday 20 June 2019. Entry is free, but you’ll need to register online.
