Eye candy: Autodesk’s 2019 M&E showreel

Autodesk has just posted its latest media and entertainment showreel, showcasing some of the best recent projects on which tools like Maya, 3ds Max and Flame have been used.

Although there are a few big movies (Deadpool 2, Fantastic Beasts 2, Christopher Robin), the majority of the reel consists of short-form work: mainly ads, cinematics and TV trailers.

Personal favourites include Axis’s gorgeous cinematic for Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset and MPC’s digital recreations of Elton John at different points in his life for its ad for UK store chain John Lewis.

There is also one really great student short, the multi-award-winning Hybrids, created by a team from MOPA, a full breakdown for which can be found here on Vimeo.
