Download new project management tool Tape 1.1

Wednesday, January 10th, 2018 | Posted by Jim Thacker

Aeriform – aka developer Michael Christophersson – has released Tape: a “simple, elegant and intimate project management tool designed for artists, designers, or any creative professionals”.

The software is available as a free download until the end of January 2018.

An intuitive way to manage personal creative projects
Regular visitors to CG Channel may remember Ramma, Christophersson’s “smart, simple and beautiful” render-monitoring tool, which was first released in 2016.

Tape takes a similarly stripped-down approach to project management, providing only the essential tools to manage your creative projects, and nothing else to distract you.

Users can list tasks or deliverables, group them into collections corresponding to individual projects, change their completion status at a click, and view a graph showing the overall completion status of a project.

The software doesn’t currently support multiple users – Christophersson says that it’s “definitely something on the roadmap” – but it looks an intuitive way to keep track of personal projects.

Updated 27 July 2018: Michael Christophersson has released Tape 1.1. The update improves performance, and introduces the ability to copy and paste, and to right-click tasks to change their status.

Tape 1.1 is available for Windows and Mac OS X. It now costs $5.
