Master lighting and rendering in Unreal Engine 4


Gnomon has announced Lighting & Rendering in Unreal Engine: a free two-hour masterclass on the use of the game engine with developer Epic Games’ director of education and learning resources, Luis Cataldi.

The event will take place next Friday, 3 February, at Gnomon’s Hollywood campus, and will be broadcast worldwide on Gnomon’s Livestream channel. You can watch it from the embedded player above.

Master the key features of UE4’s materials, lighting, rendering and post-processing toolsets
During the session, Cataldi will assemble a complete interior scene from scratch, sharing useful tips and tricks to improve production workflow.

The presentation will explore the key features of UE4’s lighting and rendering systems, along with the material system, cine cameras, post-process settings and performance profiling tools.

Lighting & Rendering in Unreal Engine: An Evening with Epic Games takes place at Gnomon’s Hollywood campus from 6-8pm on Friday 3 February 2017. It’s free to attend, but you’ll need to register in advance.
