Raf Schoenmaekers ships Krokodove 6.40 for Fusion

Krokodove’s Bend tool in action. The free collection of over 100 add-ons for Blackmagic Design’s Fusion compositing software has just been updated to support Fusion 8, officially released earlier this month.

Tools developer Raf Schoenmaekers has released Krokodove 6.40, the first version of the collection of free Fusion add-on tools to support Fusion 8, officially released earlier this month.

Over 100 free Fusion tools – some with charming demo animations
Krokodove is a collection of over 100 free Fusion tools, ranging from standard image filters to warping and morphing effects, and a range of titling and text animation options.

The lastest update only adds “a few new tools” – it’s mainly a compatibility release – and the website doesn’t list what those are, but it seems like a good excuse to cover what looks a useful resource.

Some of the (relatively) recent additions are shown in a charming set of demo animations on the Krokodove Vimeo channel, but the PDF manual is long out of date, so the best way is to experiment for yourself.

Availability
Krokodove 6.40 is a free download. It works with Fusion 6.4, 7.7 and 8.0, although you’ll need the commercial Studio edition of the software: the free editions of Fusion 7 and 8 don’t support plugins.
