Gnomon ships Introduction to Maya 2016

The Gnomon Workshop has released Introduction to Maya 2016, a comprehensive guide to modelling, texture work, animation, lighting and rendering in Maya, recorded by industry veteran Eric Keller.

A comprehensive guide to Maya 2016 for beginners and veterans alike
In the video, which lasts 11 hours, Keller runs through Maya’s key toolsets, exploring how each is best used in a professional workflow by efficiently organising hierarchies, objects, components and cameras.

As well as discussing Maya’s core functionality, the video explores the new features introduced in recent releases, particularly the modelling workflows made possible by the new Modeling Toolkit and sculpting tools.

Keller also explores the redesigned Hypershade, and the new colour management, UV and rendering options.

The training is targeted both at new users or those migrating from other 3D applications, and at experienced Maya users who want to get the most from the new features in Maya 2016.
