Red Giant Software releases Universe 1.2

Red Giant Software has released Universe 1.2, a free update adding nine new effects and transitions to its online library of tools for After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, Motion – and now Sony Vegas.

Three are free – the Exposure Blur transition, the Edge Glow effect, and Billowed Background, which creates looping fractal-based backdrops – while the rest are only available to Premium subscribers.

The update also adds versions of the tools for Vegas, plus a revamped UI for Premiere Pro CC users, and is available now. A Premium subscription costs $10 per month, or $99 per year.
