Sneak peak: viscous fluids in RealFlow 2014

Next Limit has released its first public preview of RealFlow 2014, uploading two videos to its Vimeo channel showing “viscosity on large-scale scenes” in the fluid simulator’s Hybrido solver.
So far, that’s all the information we have, beyond the fact that the release is “coming soon” – which, given that RealFlow 2013 took over a year from announcement to release, isn’t terribly specific.
The videos are fun to watch, though: the first – a truck ploughing through deep mud – is certainly large-scale; although the second, showing a drizzle of honey, is less so.
Updated 4 March: Next Limit has released three new teaser videos of viscous fluid simulations in RealFlow 2014. Two are fun demo scenes, but the third (above) shows the new Hybrido settings in more detail.
Updated 15 May: Next Limit has now posted a re-recording of its complete presentation from FMX, showing off the new features in RealFlow 2014 in more detail.
As well as viscosity, highlights include interactive meshing, force visualisation and a revamped Sheeter Daemon. The full video is 40 minutes long, so use the contests list posted on the Vimeo page to skip to the bits you want.
